Today was Pinewood Derby Day. Jeff has been working on the kids' cars for month. He even made one for Annie this year. The boys design the car and Jeff helps cut it out for them. It is a collaborative effort. Mom usually stays out of it. It's alway so fun to see what the kids come up with. This will be Brady's 3rd race, Jack's 1st race, and Annie's 1st race. Annie was so funny. She was just hanging out with the scouts waiting for her turn. I kept wondering when she was going to realize that she was not a scout. Never happened.:) The cars will each race 4 rounds, then the times are averaged. Brady was doing pretty good until his car decided to jump the track so is overall average was slowed down. Jack did pretty good for his first time. None of the kids placed, but they still had fun. I think Annie should of won for best "sparkle" car. Oh, well, maybe next year the Ellison's will be on top. We still had a fun day. And best of all.....we had cookies and punch afterward! Awesome! God Bless.
